Barbara Gislason has spoken at writers' conferences throughout the United States and Canada, and represents prominent national authors. Occassionally,  by invitation only, she represents authors as a literary agent.

Although less experienced attorneys offer a free consultation, Gislason requires a $45 payment for the first half hour and her regular fee subsequently applies. To prepare for the initial meeting, gather business and other pertinent records along with a chronological summary of events related to the primary areas of concern. Also, come prepared with a list of questions that are most important to you. This will result in a more efficient use of legal time.
